The administration announced inflation penalties on 43 drugs for the third quarter of 2023 for hiking prices more than the rate of inflation.  Under the Inflation Reduction Act the drug makers would have to pay the difference of those meds to fed med.  The administration says this will lower costs for Americans by $449 per dose.  This does not seem probable as the money flows to the government not the people who pay.  They say it is due to less coinsurance but who pays that much after insurance?  Propaganda?        Top

The Texas Medical Board is going after the medical license of Dr. Mary Bowden.  She is the ENT who was and is anti-vaccine.  She had been previously suspended for her advocacy by the Houston Methodist Hospital.  The claims against her are that she prescribed a medication for a patient without examining them and failed to maintain patient-physician confidentiality.  Dr. Bowden has denied all and will participate in a  hearing next year.

California has suspended the medical license of Dr. Dharmesh Patel, a radiologist who is accused of attempted murder.  He is accused of driving his car over a cliff to kill his wife and children.  He is currently awaiting trial and is being held without bond.     Top
