Envision, the company that thinks they are above the state laws of corporate practice of medicine is going bankrupt.  If and when they do the ED physicians in California will still continue with their suit.  They have not asked for monetary damages but decalaratory relief.  They want the courts to declare them persona non grata for their flaunting the state laws.

Hospitals

The Mayo Clinic is pushing Minnesota from hobbling it with their laws.  They have convinced the legislators to exempt them from their current laws that have been passed and awaiting the governors signature.  If they do not get their exemption they will hurt the state financially.  The upshot was a complete gutting of the law and to define it as a compromise.  It was not.  It was capitulation.

Community Hospital in Fresno, California, continues to be fined for patient safety.  For the fifth time in four years they received a fine by the state.  This one is for $78,750 due to a patient who died after leaving a foreign body inside him during surgery.  This is a hospital and not a personnel issue.

Physicians

Connecticut has taken the license of Dr. Kenneth Inchalik.  The doctor asked a nurse to lie regarding giving him a Covid vaccination but she refused and reported him.  He was fired from his position as a pediatrician at ProHealth Physicians and then the state acted.

Another physician who thought they could be a star has flamed out.  Dr. Katherine Grawe who went by Dr. Roxy on TicTok may get her license revoked.  It is now in suspension pending a hearing on whether to revoke due to her being a clear and present danger to her patients.  She has a long history of med mal actions against her for multiple cosmetic procedures.  She has been previously warned and sent for remedial training which she completed.

In an action that is marred in politics, Dr Caitlin Bernard, the physician wh treated a 10 year old for an abortion, was fined $3000 and had a letter of reprimand placed in her file for tree instances of violating patient privacy laws.  She should have not received any of this but the state attorney general hold the purse strings for the medical board.  Thus a very mild hand slap but a slap anyway.
