The administration is attempting to head off a suit against them by the drug companies by changing its guidance for the negotiation process.  They think that allowing the companies to publicly comment on the talks it will head off the suits.  It will not.

The administration wants to have hospital facility fees made transparent but not stop them.  These fees are not regulated and can be changed whenever the hospital wants to change them.  The administration only wants to tke the surprise out of the fees.  Stupid.  They should be banished.

The administration wants to be big brother or nanny to the country.  They are taking aim again at health insurance policies that the people want but are not part of the very expensive ACA.  

New York has banned nurses from working mandatory overtime.  There may be exceptions as with disasters or ongoing surgery.  

The CMS is proposing a 3.4% cut in payments to physicians for the RVS.  If this goes through, and it will not, and if this were Great Britain and there was socialized medicine, there would be a nationwide walkout of the physicians.  

At the same time as the pay decrease for physicians, the agency is recommending a 2.8% increase for outpatient facilities. including hospital outpatient departments which is physician offices owned by the hospitals.  A joke.        Top

Chesire Medical Center in Concord, New Hampshire, has been fined $2 million for violating the CSA by not keeping accurate records of controlled substances.  A nurse had stole many bags of fentanyl over many months without being detected.  This led to a finding that the hospital did not keep track of any of its narcotics.        Top

Physicians

Dr. Robert Coble of Goodspring, Tennessee, in a plea deal resigned his medical license.  He worked for a company that sole waivers online for Covid vaccines.  One of the names he gave a waiver to was a dog.

Dr. Victoria Mondlock of Waukesha, Wisconsin, has given up her medical license after being suspended by the medical board several month ago.  She She was originally an OB/GYN but was barred from OB after several poor results and having her license suspended in 2005.  She now treated a patient with endometrial cancer by non-approved means and the patient died from advanced cancer.

Dr. Rudel Saunders had his medical training license revoked by the Medical Board of Ohio and also fined him $6000.  He has no criminal charges but has been accused of performing male genital ultrasound exams in his apartment.  

Dr. Katherine Grawe ( Dr. Roxy on Tic Toc ) has lost her Ohio medical license after several patient were injured during her livestreaming their operations.  She was accused of not paying attention to the patient while answering questions live.        Top
